Gravity and Disgrace at Blain|Southern opens tonight
Gravity and Disgrace opens tonight with the private view between 6-8pm. A group show, curated by Rachel Howard, it brings together the work of Jane Simpson and Amelia Newton Whitelaw as well as Howard’s own.
Taking inspiration from Gravity and Grace: The Changing Condition of Sculpture, 1965 – 1975 – the 1993 exhibition at the Hayward Gallery – Gravity and Disgrace considers the continued exploration of ‘unconventional materiality through painting and sculpture.’
The exhibition will run at Blain|Southern from 11th July – 25th August 2012
