On Thursday Trolley Books is taking part in Selena Godden’s Book Club Boutique. We are using this event to launch our very important Kickstarter campaign to raise money for TROLLEYOLOGY, our upcoming publication celebrating the first ten years of Trolley Books.
7pm / £50 Supper Club Ticket An elegant 3-course supper, served with wine, in the beautiful Georgian dining room. Dinner will be in the company of the author Maggie Gee OBE and poet Lemn Sissay. There will also be a presentation of ‘If The Heart Is A Bell’ the sound-installation and tribute to our loved and missed Trolley founder Gigi Giannuzzi. There will also be a debut reading from ‘Springfield Road’ the literary memoir by Salena Godden. Between courses there will be live music from special guests the heart breakingly beautiful blue grass from The Bundy Brothers.
If you are unable to make dinner there is a £10 Party Ticket, starting from 10pm, we will be there with Unbound Books selling Trolley books and be giving out more information on joining our Kickstarter campaign. The Pop-Up Casino will be there tempt you to try your luck and raise money for charity with black jack, poker and roulette.
On the downstairs stage you’ll find stunning performances from hip hop MC’s Adam Kammerling and Ruby Kid; kiss and tell tales of Paula Varjack and Xavier Leret; the yellow world of Robert Auton and the east ends very own cockney poet laureate Tim Wells. Plus live music from the brilliance of Claire Nicolson and also New York soul sister Lisa Lore. After midnight its all about top tunes from the legendary BCBoutique DJ’s in the members bar and basement until 5am!
The venue is a members club, a vast former Georgian pub building, with a warren of elegantly proportioned rooms decorated with eccentric splendor. There are limited places and so its first come first served. You can NOW book tickets, email and RSVP email@example.com
