Artist Ian Giles is to form part of a collaboration to show new work at MULTIPLEXING in Peckhamplex on Friday 28th November. The artists from the LUX Associate Artists Programme will be using the multiple screens of the cinema to form one piece of work. Ian’s show ‘Captivity’ took place at TJ Boulting in August 2012.
Harry Belafonte has been awarded an honorary Oscar in recognition of his humanitarian efforts. Belafonte, a prominent civil rights campaigner who supported Martin Luther King Jr throughout the civil rights campaign has written the introduction for Dan Budniks book ‘Marching To The Freedom Dream’. He was awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, given to an “individual in the motion picture industry whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry” while British director Steve McQueen said of Belafonte ‘He basically took those powers of celebrity and fame, and used them for a bigger cause than just his own’. Sidney Poitier, present at the awards in support of Belafonte also appears in Dan Budniks Trolley release.
FAD features ‘Polycephaly’ by Boo Saville at TJ Boulting as the top art exhibition to visit in London
FAD Website has featured Boo Saville’s ‘Polycephaly’ as the top art exhibition to visit in London this week. The show is now in to its last week, closing on Saturday 15th November.
Photographer Stanley Greene is to follow up on his ‘Open Wound’ Trolley release with a look at the aftermath of the Chechen war in ‘War is Only Half the Story’. Having won a grant from The Aftermath Project to shoot his proposal, we can expect to see Stanley’s images in the book funded by a successful kickstarter campaign.
Pelham Communications has featured ‘Polycephaly’ by Boo Saville at TJ Boulting as a highlight to visit. The show is open until Saturday 15th November.

Trolley Books is to showcase a selection of recent releases, signed copies and out of print books at ‘The Piccadilly Art Books Fair’ in Waterstones Piccadilly. The event brings together a host of publishers, artists & authors for one day on Saturday 15th November from 1pm.
Trolley Books will be present at the new publishing fair ‘Polycopies’ in Paris. Hosted on the River, Trolley will be showcasing an array of new and recent releases, out of print books, signed copies and classic backlist editions from Wednesday 12th November through to Friday 14th November.
Stephanie Quayle is to accompany her residence at POST in Japan with a talk on her upcoming work. The talk will take place tomorrow evening from 19:30 at POST. Stephanie’s solo show ‘Lion Man’ took place at TJ Boulting in December 2013.
